Not really. My parents have a longtime friend named Deryck, so that may be where they got the idea. Wisely, they didn't saddle me with that freakish spelling of the name.

Don't remember exactly, but it couldn't have been all that long ago. I'd guess it was within the last 3 months.

My handwriting and I get along fine. Now and then some others have had problems with my handwriting, most notably my 4th grade teacher Mrs. Evelyn Louthian, who saw fit to issue the only demerit on my otherwise sterling report card in the "Penmanship" category. Guess which grade I heard about most from my parents... thanks a bundle, Mrs. L.
