Going to the Chapel...

Yeah, so we're still five days off, but both TFMD and I are very excited. My best man Randy has been here since last Wednesday, and we've been working on various house projects and wedding errands. A friend on Facebook recently said that we were really already married, but the public ceremony is Saturday (a point well taken).

Observation: I'm amazed at how many people have commented to me, "Oh, married life is great!" as if it was a brand new experience. While I never publicly reply with, "yeah, I know - been there, done that, trying to get there again", I totally think it. I know how good married life is, as one of those guys who is much happier married. And I know being married to TFMD will be great. And I don't want to steal her thunder since she's never been married before. It was kind of the same way when we bought the house. "Welcome to homeownership!" "Oh, you'll love owning your own home!" Sigh.

Anyway.
Wedding soon.
Honeymoon after.
Expect posts from Kauai.
You lucky people.

Hmm. I have a sneaking suspicion the person who said you've been married to her (in your mind) for a while was me. Shades of Alec Baldwin telling Kevin Bacon "you've been married to her since the day you met her" in a certain movie that you'll undoubtedly remember. ;)

It's the day after the wedding as I write this, btw. It was beautiful, joyous and bittersweet. Much love to you both for a long and harmonious life together. xoxo

(this comment brought to you by the word verification "unwari." As in "Unwari, Todd and Raechelle forged ahead with plans for their glorious future together, knowing that their love was sturdy, resilient and true."
