Badasses.

Two blogs I've taken to recently are Badass of the Week, which features everyone from Stephen Colbert to The Kraken, and Woman: Uncensored, which is a very frank and outspoken blog about attachment parenting.  But, just as the blog author Rachele says, I feel like "attachment parenting" is just instinctive and common sense, and many of the so-called modern methods of childrearing are "detachment parenting".  Her posts on CIO (Cry It Out) and infant circumcision are particularly thought-provoking and use very effective perspective shifts to shake up old modes of thinking.

So while one blog amuses my inner 16 year-old, the other fuels the passion of my outer parent.  Each is badass in its own way.  Enjoy.

Awards and Tags

Thanks to Sandi at Pregnant With Cancer for hitting me with a spate of awards, along with a tag meme. Although I no longer do those, I do appreciate the acknowledgment. And a very Happy Birthday to her beautiful miracle of a daughter, Gabriella. Seriously, it's miraculous either of those gals are alive - a true testament to the survival of the human spirit. Well done, ladies!

And while we're on the subject, I also want to give a shout out to a blog with the best cancer-related title ever.

This is Worth a "Me Too..."

Stephen Rader pointed out a new promotions campaign at Barney's in Chicago. Really?? Someone thought this was a good idea?

How about THIS idea for the marketing genius who came up with it: you're FIRED.
